About

The Minimum Standards for Mainstreaming Gender Equality have been developed through a multi-year collaborative process by the Gender Practitioners Collaborative.

The Gender Practitioners Collaborative is an informal group of U.S.-based gender advisors and technical gender experts from international development and humanitarian organizations with a vested interest in promoting the practice of gender equality mainstreaming within our organizations and programs across every sector.

The following individuals co-authored the document: Yeva Avakyan, Keshet Bachan (consultant), Valerie Rhoe Davis, Kelly Fish, Christie Getman, Laura Romah, Meredith Saggers, Kristi Tabaj, Jenn Williamson, and Elise Young.

The development of the Minimum Standards for Mainstreaming Gender Equality was made possible by the generous financial support of ACDI/VOCA, FHI360, Land O’Lakes International Development, Mercy Corps, Winrock International and World Vision. This work was also made possible with substantial support provided by Mercy Corps through the Fidelity Charitable Trust grant.
